| It all started in the early spring of 2004 when Rob and Nick went on a vacation to sunny Puerto Vallarta Mexico. While in Mexico, Rob, an AVID fan of bathing suits, had one day arrived at the beach only to find that he had an identical suit on as another vacationer. Not only was it the same suit, but this other guy seemed to fit his just a bit better. Rob had brought a different suit for every day of the week but on this sunny Wednesday, it would appear that his efforts were fruitless as he was found wearing a duplicate suit to someone else.
With this, Rob brought up the idea of making himself a few bathing suits. Knowing that Nick had a degree in sewing from the Ukraine, Rob asked Nick to make him a few fun suits. It was not long before Rob had the idea that if he wanted unique suits, surely others would like that too. This was the beginning of Dolphinwear."
